Elizabeth Schenk, AAI, CPIW, Chief Executive Officer

Thirty years ago, almost to the day, I walked into an insurance brokerage in Florida and applied for a “temporary” job as a receptionist.  I immediately fell in love with the business and began my journey.  I spent several years in an independent agency as a producer and agency manager.  Building a $500,000 revenue book was one of the toughest jobs I ever had.

When I moved to Pennsylvania in 1995, my career path moved to the carrier side as an underwriter.  My time as a producer helped me become a better underwriter because I understood just how hard it was to get to the point of submitting an application.  The best part of my job was working with the agents and that led me to the field as a production underwriter with Berkley Mid-Atlantic Group.  Later, I was hired as a territory manager for Liberty Mutual, eventually responsible for marketing and field operations in a 5 state region.

My years in the field exposed me to agency networks across the country. This distribution concept intrigued me and I became Liberty’s relationship manager for several well-known networks, one of which was Keystone Insurers Group.  In 2010, I joined Keystone to lead their geographic expansion.  During my nine years with Keystone, the footprint expanded from 6 states to 13 and the premium volume more than doubled.

I am truly excited to join ANE because the company is blessed with an outstanding staff of insurance professionals who, along with the Board of Directors, are focused on helping ANE members and carrier partners grow organically and profitably.

Lisa Melroy, Vice President, Operations & Finance

Lisa has over 25 years of experience working as an accounting professional and 20 years as a certified public accountant. Lisa’s background includes expertise in budgets, forecasts, strategic planning, problem-solving and project management. Prior to her current position, Lisa spent over 10 years in the nonprofit sector as an executive and 17 years in the corporate world as a Controller for both the insurance and banking industries.

Currently, Lisa is the Board Treasurer for Impact Services Corporation which is a nonprofit located in Philadelphia that works to support individuals, families, and communities to build a safe and stable future. She is a graduate of Rowan University and resides in Mount Laurel with her family.

Lisa is responsible for the company’s financial health. Her role is a combination of operations and strategy, managing our accounting and financial control functions. She establishes a financial strategy for the profitable long-term growth of ANE.

Kevin Grove, Regional Vice President

Kevin joins ANE as Regional Director to manage relationships with our current membership in Pennsylvania and New Jersey in addition to expanding the company’s footprint in eastern and central Pennsylvania.

Kevin graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Business Management and a minor in Economics. He has spent the last 16 years with Travelers as an underwriter of Financial Institutions. After the merger with St. Paul, he moved over to the Private and Non Profit Executive Liability team where he worked with agents in Southern NJ and Southeastern PA.

In his spare time, Kevin coaches the ice hockey team for Downingtown East High School, winning 4 Flyers Cups, 2 State Titles and placed 3rd at the National Championship in the last 5 years. He also coaches for Team Philadelphia U16, out of IceLine in West Chester, PA.

Alyssa Delaney, Director, Marketing & Communications

Alyssa began her insurance career with ANE in 2013. Taking on numerous responsibilities over the years, she has become an integral resource within our organization. Most recently, Alyssa has assumed responsibility as primary contact for a group of member agencies from an in-house marketing role. She is also responsible for ANE’s marketing, communications, special events, automation and vendor relationships.

Alyssa is a graduate of Rutgers University New Brunswick where she attended on a full academic scholarship and holds a B.A. in Journalism and Media Studies. She is also an active member and First Vice President of New Jersey’s Young Insurance Professionals group.

Brent Hetrick, Regional Director

Brent Hetrick joined ANE in June 2021 as a Regional Director responsible for managing relationships with our current membership, in addition to expanding our organizational footprint.

Prior to joining ANE, Brent worked eight years for AIA, Alera Group as a Senior Broker Account Manager. In this position, he was responsible for consulting brokers in regards to their client’s various insurance plans in conjunction with multiple insurance carriers. Brent has a Bachelor of Science in Business with a concentration in Management from the University of Phoenix.

In his spare time, he enjoys attending his children’s various sporting events, working on home projects, and playing golf.

Patrick Williams, Regional Director

Patrick has worked in insurance for over nine years. He began his career at Farmers Insurance working in Customer Service and as a Marketing Specialist. Patrick most recently worked for Plymouth Rock Assurance as a Territory Marketing Manager for New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Patrick graduated from Liberty University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a minor in Marketing.  He has spent the last nine years building relationships with agents and carriers and expanding his knowledge of the insurance industry.

In Patrick’s spare time he likes to spend time with his family, travel when possible, golf and volunteer his time to various non-profit organizations.

Frank Vetrano, Director of Membership, NY

Frank Vetrano joins ANE as Director of Membership with a specific focus on expanding the company’s footprint in New York. He brings 43 years of industry experience, previously with the Hanover Group as Commercial Lines Regional Vice President for New Jersey and downstate New York. In this position, he was responsible for commercial lines underwriting, marketing, strategic development, and financial results. His career path also included Fireman’s Fund, USF&G and St. Paul Insurance.

Frank has a keen understanding of the New York insurance environment and is well known and respected by agencies and carriers.

April Van Brunt, Executive Services Administrator

April joins the ANE team with seven years in sales support, 10 years of telecommunication management background and various support roles for professional businesses. She left the outside working world to be a stay-at-home mom and raise her two children. While raising her children, she started her own business and volunteered with her local parent organizations of the various schools her children attended.

She is currently volunteering as the Treasurer of Cambridge School’s Upper School P.A.C. Two years ago, April took a pottery class and has since found a love of creating ceramic, customized pottery art.
